Tajikistan is a nation where Muslims are reported to be over 90 percent of the total population. Recently, a horrific discovery was caught on camera by a witness using his camcorder in a public latrine.
According to The Mirror, the witness observed movements in a plastic left in the plumbing system. A number of onlookers rushed to the scene, a squat toilet, a mere hole on the ground, and out of it they brought out a mysterious looking package. Witnesses then held their breaths upon finding a newborn baby alive inside the plastic bag.
It is strongly suspected that the mother abandoned her baby to die there. Moments after childbirth in the toilet, the unknown woman tried suffocating the newborn by wrapping its head with a plastic bag. After that she had her baby dumped into a mass of faeces.
As luck would have it, the infant was discovered before the oxygen left in the bag was exhausted. In the video footage, the infant's saviors were seen tearing the bag from the baby's head.
Witnesses say that it was quite miraculous how the infant survived with so little quantity of oxygen for the time it spent in the toilet hole.
According to The Mirror, it has become a common sight finding babies abandoned in toilets in the area. Previously a baby was found by a man wrapped up in nylon bags in a toilet of Muslim dominant Kazakhstan.
Islamophiles most likely will say that this has absolutely nothing in connection with Islam, in as much as this evil happens everywhere in the world.
However, we cannot deny that Islam’s misogynistic treatment and general perception of women and children may just be the source of the motivation behind such gruesome acts committed in Islamic nations.
